Glass Houses

Ancient Glass Houses - the core of ancient volcanoes rise above the sand dunes and attract the attention of an ancient Mariner - James Cook - who felt looking across from his wooden barque that they reminded him of the Glass House structures in his home town in England - 'These remind me of the Glass Houses' - and the name has come down through the Century!
These wonderful rich soils and hill create a home for many flora and fauna - the sound of the birds, the drip of the dew and the growth of the fungi all collide on the senses - As a physical and Ddigital artist and film maker - capturing the essence of the Mountains - the Spirit of Place - makes me pull out my calligraphy brushes to capture what the eye of the camera sees - to cut and edit and construct: THE GLASS HOUSES
